Bach Ma Temple
One of the four guardian temples of Thang Long, tucked into Hang Buom street and still an active place of worship.
Bach Ma, the White Horse Temple, guards the east of the old citadel and is counted among the four sacred guardian temples of Thang Long. The gate on Hang Buom is easy to walk past; inside is one of the oldest temple grounds in the quarter.
It is a working temple, not a museum. Dress respectfully, keep voices low, and visit outside the busiest festival days if you want the quiet version.
