The Night Market Walk

The weekend spine of the quarter, from the great market to the lake.

The stops

1. Đồng Xuân
   Start under the market gate. This is the wholesale heart that feeds the whole quarter.
2. Hàng Đường
   Sugar and preserved fruit. Taste the sweet snacks Hanoians buy for Tet and weddings. About 3 minutes on foot from the previous stop.
3. Hàng Ngang
   The old silk and fabric run. By night it becomes one long river of stalls and lights. About 2 minutes on foot from the previous stop.
4. Hàng Đào
   The spine itself, closed to traffic on weekend nights. Walk it slowly, it is a show. About 2 minutes on foot from the previous stop.
5. Cầu Gỗ
   Finish where the quarter meets the lake. Find a small plastic stool and watch the city glow. About 4 minutes on foot from the previous stop.
